Camp 2

Welcome back to my blog, if you read my previous blog I talked about camp and how I would be leaving tomorrow. Now I'm back from camp and I have a lot to share with you about camp, everyone who went to camp first went to Hamilton Gardens and then we went to the Otorohanga walkway and a park nearby. Then we went to Taumarunui school and then the rest of the way to the crossing. We went by bus and some adults went by car.

On the second day we all went to Mt Ruapehu and ski or snowboard for a 2 hour lesson. Then we had some free time after lesson. It was the first time I touched snow since I was 3, it was also first time I skied. Then we went back to the crossing and had dinner then we had some free time in the games room.

On the third day it was the same as the second day except i could now ski from the top to the bottom. On the fourth day we all drove to the Taupo pools, I went on the tarzan swing and swam around. Then we all had sausages and continued our journey back to school, we all arrived at school and then I went back home. If you had to go on camp I would advise to choose skiing. Camp

Feelings about camp

Tomorrow I'm going to camp and I'd like to express some feelings, I'm feeling overjoyed, nervous and curious. I'm excited about feeling real snow because I haven't felt real snow since I was about 3!
I'm nervous about skiing for the first time and I'm also a bit worried about skiing for the first time. The skiing might push my limits because I could go too fast or slow and I might hurt myself. From going to camp I will gain the ability to sled and ski I will also gain lots of life skills. How I think I will feel after camp is overjoyed, relieved and happy to be home. Blog ya later!

Film Festival Making

Welcome back to my blog everyone! I have been working on a film for the film festival with my group every Friday, and it's not long until we have to finish the film because of the deadline. If you're wondering what the film festival is, it's when the most senior students from all the schools in the Ako Hiko cluster form groups to make films. Then each group will present their film, hoping, that their film will represent their school in the Ako Hiko film festival.
Blog ya later and also film coming soon!

Reading

Welcome back from the school holidays everyone and welcome back to my blog. In the last weeks of  Term 2, I had been reading a novel by Des Hunt called The Secret of Jelly Mountain. I also had to do three bits of work on it. The first two bits of work were comprehension questions, one from chapters 3-4, and the second one was chapters 8-12. The last bit of work was researching about the Huia (a New Zealand wattlebird) and put the information in a google drawing.
The book was pretty good because of the story line and the characters and some of the themes were: adventure and curiosity. Here are the photos and links:

Newspaper

Hi everybody! I have been working on a newspaper for a while using makemynewspaper (link to makemynewspaper) what happened was, first, I made a recount on a pink shirt day letterbox drop (see in a previous blog for more information). Then I made a template on makemynewspaper and copy-pasted the recount, and made advertisements. Finally I decorated it! Also if you want to do the same don't forget to make an account. Here is the newspaper:

Vegetable Smackdown

Lately I did a drawing and put facts about iceberg lettuce like the vitamins and calories if you want to see, click this link for the drawing. Here's how I did the drawing: firstly I got a partner then we gathered up information, next we found some images of lettuce and put in the information. Then a few weeks later me and my partner went in front of the class and talked about our vegetable for one minute also lots of others went up in front as well. I felt a bit nervous when I was up because there were so many people. Blog ya later
