Reading

Welcome back from the school holidays everyone and welcome back to my blog. In the last weeks of  Term 2, I had been reading a novel by Des Hunt called The Secret of Jelly Mountain. I also had to do three bits of work on it. The first two bits of work were comprehension questions, one from chapters 3-4, and the second one was chapters 8-12. The last bit of work was researching about the Huia (a New Zealand wattlebird) and put the information in a google drawing.
The book was pretty good because of the story line and the characters and some of the themes were: adventure and curiosity. Here are the photos and links:

Blog ya later.

  1. Hi Jonathan, I really liked your google drawing about the huia. There are some really interesting facts there. Did you know the last confirmed huia sighting was in the Tararua ranges, near where I was born? I wish they weren't extinct because they seem like such fascinating birds. That's why I love all the bird sanctuaries around New Zealand that work to protect our endangered species.
