Supermarket Visit

This week my class went to a close New world and we learnt about what foods are healthy and what foods aren't healthy. We each got a worksheet and had to find a healthy food and a unhealthy food, we had to do this in five columns: dairy, snacks, breakfast cereals, bread and muesli bars. After we had done that we had to a fruit or vegetable of every colour of these colours: white, brown, red, yellow, green, blue/purple and black. We did have a time limit an after a while we went back to the entrance. Once we got back to the entrance Isabella from food for thought gave us a free lunch box and she gave the teachers a $60 gift card to New world for a healthy lunch. Here are some photos.

Beach Clean Up

Beach Clean

On the last day of term we walked to Waikowhai Beach to pick up rubbish to save the environment, it was a long walk and we held up signs saying "There is no planet b" and other stuff like that. We eventually made it and started to pick up rubbish and put it into bags and we got a lot, we found lots of thing like glass, bottle caps, metallic thin plastic and netting. After we had collected lots of rubbish and religious items we went to the car park and took a photo of all of us. Then we started back up to school but this time we didn't take the signs, instead a teacher took them back up to school in her car. After we got back to school we washed our hands and started to tidy up the class room for the end of term. Here are the photos.
