Beach Clean
On the last day of term we walked to Waikowhai Beach to pick up rubbish to save the environment, it was a long walk and we held up signs saying "There is no planet b" and other stuff like that. We eventually made it and started to pick up rubbish and put it into bags and we got a lot, we found lots of thing like glass, bottle caps, metallic thin plastic and netting. After we had collected lots of rubbish and religious items we went to the car park and took a photo of all of us. Then we started back up to school but this time we didn't take the signs, instead a teacher took them back up to school in her car. After we got back to school we washed our hands and started to tidy up the class room for the end of term. Here are the photos.
This is a clear recount of the trip Jonathan with a great selection of images. I was surprised at the different rubbish we found but thought there would be more. I was very surprised that there was more rubbish on the road leading to the beach than actually at the beach. I think next time we could pick rubbish up on our way down and up! Did you enjoy the trip?
